Since my second semester at Emerson, I have worked on The Emerson Channel’s flagship show: Good Morning Emerson. I started as the Video Operator who could chip all four of our Sony DXC Series cameras in 3 minutes flat. From there I learned how to matrix our cameras and took a couple minutes longer each day and I received complements from our Director of Production who noticed the show looked better than it ever had.
Since then, I’ve been the long-running Technical Director; switching on either the Sony DVS-9000 or our newer Grass Valley Karrera system. Did I mention that when I was a Video Operator I also worked as a Lighting Assistant? Check out what our control room sounds like below:
